Georgios Giamas is a translational cancer biologist, currently serving as a Professor at the Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (ZCMU) leading the Cancer Cell Signalling and Translational Research Laboratory.
He also holds an Emeritus Professorship at the University of Sussex (UK) and a visiting professorship at Imperial College London (UK). He is the Founder/Director and Chief Scientific Advisor of Stingray Bio, a biotechnology spinout, which focuses on the development of small-molecule inhibitors for cancer therapy, bridging preclinical research and clinical applications.
Professor Giamas serves as Editor-in-Chief of ‘Cancer Gene Therapy’ (CGT) and as Associate Editor for ‘Oncogene’ and ‘Communications Biology’ (Nature-Springer), while being on the editorial boards of other international journals.
Professor Giamas’ work centres on cancer cell signalling, tumour microenvironment (TME), extracellular vesicles (EVs), and kinase-driven oncogenesis, with a translational emphasis on biomarker discovery and therapeutic innovation.
