Georgios Giamas is a translational cancer biologist, currently serving as a Professor at the Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (ZCMU) leading the Cancer Cell Signalling and Translational Research Laboratory.
He also holds an Emeritus Professorship at the University of Sussex (UK) and an honorary Principal Research Fellowship at Imperial College London (UK). He is the Founder/Director and Chief Scientific Advisor of Stingray Bio, a biotechnology spinout, which focuses on the development of small-molecule inhibitors for cancer therapy, bridging preclinical research and clinical applications.
Professor Giamas serves as Editor-in-Chief of ‘Cancer Gene Therapy’ (CGT) and as Associate Editor for ‘Oncogene’ and ‘Communications Biology’ (Nature-Springer), while being on the editorial boards of other international journals.
Professor Giamas’ work centres on cancer cell signalling, tumour microenvironment (TME), extracellular vesicles (EVs), and kinase-driven oncogenesis, with a translational emphasis on biomarker discovery and therapeutic innovation.
